Motorbiking:
Sure, one of the things I always wanted and I do since I am allowed to. do Due to it feels as the summers became shorter and shorter every year, I started to drive
during winter as well. But there is one little difference to other motorbikers riding the whole year. The amount and legend of bikes I owned, that's a very short one.
When I got my licence, I started with a Suzuki GS500E. Very small bike for a tall guy like me, but for the first driving experience, not too bad. Less than two years later I bought my first BMW, a R1100GS. Many friends were laughing at me, and they said it's a bike for old people only, but I taught them difference, and now you hardly can find a motorbike group without GS-drivers, doesn't matter which age.
Eight years later I was attacked by a Panda - on the open road, and the good one was gone. A friend of mine, working with BMW told me to wait for the new 1200GS, but it will take around one more year to launch. That's far too muc time without a bike, so I bought another 1100GS, 15 years old, but driven less than 50.000 km. I still have that bike, and the engine is still running, even with far more than 300.000 km. That's pretty much the time I sold my car and bought another further motorbike, the Honda Spada VT250, as it is always better having two, than only one.
During the winter, around christmas, you can find me cruising as the hurrying christmas tree, fully equipped, with lights and tree decoration. During summer times, people sometimes can experience how it feels when lucifer himself will be behind
them picking some flowers while driving.
There was another motorbike I owned for a short time when I travelled Nez Zealand, it was another BMW, a 650GS Dakar.
And after my first wintertrip with the motorbike to Norway 2022, I decided, sometimes it's good to hav a third wheel and I bought another bike - the URAL
T-TWD.
Following the link you directly find my vehicles - but you also can stay a little longer reading about my other interests like Schnapps.
Music:
Music is running all the time, and also some trips have their reason in music. I am on tour around Europe to visit some concerts or festivals, you can find some storys on this site. I almost listen to every type of muisc, except most HipHop or German "Volksmusik", that makes me some kind of aggressive. Most of the time I listen to the heavy stuff, like metal, hardcore, industrial or similiar. But you also can find some electro or gothrock in my collection.
Schnapps:
Well, what do you expect when someone ist telling you, that schnapps is one of his hobbies? But it's not that bad, because most of the liquor is locked away on the shelves in my childhood bedroom. There are pictures of it in the picture gallery, and if someone thinks that's crazy, they may well be right. And this collection has probably contributed to my nickname "Poor madman" in a certain way, well, I can live with that.
And here it is - TRAVELLING:
Travelling, the main reason for this website at all, that's my passion. When I was younger I often traveled with youth groups, later with small and very flexible travel groups or even alone. But alone doesn't mean that I was alone, because you can always find company, friends or new acquaintances who you meet on your travels and who you stay in touch with long afterward. But when I look at the very manageable list of countries that I have already visited, I have to say that I still have a lot to do.
Here is a small overview of my previous travel destinations by continent:
Some countries are linked to the gallery, just click and enjoy.
What is separated by hyphens was usually on one trip, separated by commas were different holidays
Europe
Germany - my home country, still a lot to explore, although I emigrated to Switzerland
Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Romania, Slowenia, Croatia,
Scotland, England, Ireland, Greece-North Macedonia-Albania-Montenegro, Czech
Republic-Poland-Lithuania-Latvia-Estonia-Finland, Slovakia-Ukraine-Bulgaria, Serbia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Belarus, Spain
Asia
In summary I only visited 58 different countries yet, but I am still young, and as you can see, I
start to build a small camper-van for my next trips. There are some more countries waiting, specially Africa and South America.
